Sex Pistols to release Filthy Lucre Live

The release marks the 30th anniversary of the bands 1996 reunion
Punk Icons: the Sex Pistols celebrate three decades since they returned after their iconic initial formation of 1975-1978 with a 2LP red vinyl edition of "Filthy Lucre Live", which will be available November 20th. Included in this release are several bonus tracks, including "No Fun" and "Buddies", which is a special version of the blistering track "Bodies".
The album transports listeners back to 1996, as the band reunited with the original lineup of Johnny Rotten (John Lydon), Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock as they stepped onto the stage at Finsbury Park.
The reunion tour marked a historic moment, as one of the most influential bands of all solidified their legendary status with performances that retained their raw energy while also showing the stellar calibre of the band's live shows.
Guitarist Steve Jones remarked: “It was 20 years on from when we initially broke up in ‘78 and it was always a debate that the pistols couldn’t play. I think Filthy Lucre shows not only that we can play but we are a powerhouse. Long live rock’n’roll.”
Drummer Paul Cook added: “It wasn’t all about the ‘filthy lucre’ - that title was always ironic - it was about getting the original lineup behind Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols back together and showing what we could really do. I loved it.”
