Festival Preview: Twisterella Festival, @ Middlesbrough - Saturday 3rd October 2026

Your next favourite band is waiting around the corner in Middlesbrough on Saturday
Words - John Hayhurst
Middlesbrough becomes a playground for new music tomorrow as Twisterella returns for its 12th edition, and LATCH Magazine will be there to cover the whole day.
The award-winning festival brings together a line-up packed with emerging talent, with Walt Disco, Tanzana and Mouth Ulcers among the acts we’re looking forward to catching. Gia Ford, Loveshy, The Rooks, KEG and Bikini Body add even more reasons to get down early and make a day of it.
This year, Buffs Club and REBEL:REBEL are hosting stages alongside three inside Teesside University Students’ Union. With all five stages just a short walk apart, you can follow your must-see artists while leaving plenty of time to stumble across something unexpected.
That’s the joy of Twisterella: walking into a set out of curiosity and leaving with a new favourite band.
Having welcomed Sam Fender back in 2014, the festival has a history of giving audiences the chance to catch future stars up close. Tomorrow’s discoveries could be the names filling much bigger rooms in years to come.
With Middlesbrough pushing to become UK City of Culture 2029, Twisterella shows why the town deserves attention. Its independent music community is already giving people plenty to celebrate, bringing artists, venues and fans together for a day built around discovery.
Join us tomorrow, support live music and find someone worth shouting about.
