All Points East 2026 opened with a rousing collection of summer sounds, as dual headliners Tems and Jorja Smith delivered a meticulously curated day that blurred the lines between genres. Positioning a broad mix of R&B, Afrobeats, Amapiano and Soul (as well as countless others) with a distinctly pop ethos which delighted the tens of thousands of fans who packed out the sprawling festival site at Victoria Park.

Cementing the festival's identity, the support acts spread across six stage creating an environment where world class music was only ever a step away.

Drummer of The Ezra Collective, Femi Koleoso brought a driving DJ set to the X Stage, which had revellers enthralled in dance. A sensational set from Arya Starr created one of the shining moments of the evening. Adding to her stunning vocal agility, her undeniable charisma and theatricality drew one of the largest and most passionate crowds of the day, spilling out of the capacity North Stage. While Nia Archives closed out the West Stage with a kinetic jungle‑driven set that amply demonstrated why she is a vital cornerstone of the UK's dance scene.

For the Co-Headliners, an early evening appearance by Tems started the evening with an atmospheric performance that struck powerful emotional beats with a groove that proved impossible to resist. Her voice carried an ethereal quality that shone so clearly that it made the vast expanse of Victoria Park feel like an intimate concert hall. Finely honed stagecraft showed how Tems can easily command a huge festival audience with her attention-grabbing presence; eschewing most theatrics, she instead had the audience enthralled through a set that radiated well-earned confidence. Delivering a set of fan favourites, unreleased material and a surprise duet with rapper Dave as the pair collaborated on "Raindance". The entire set felt like a declaration of intent from Tems, showing her ability to headline major festivals and giving us the first peak into her new material.

Closing the evening, Jorja Smith then took to the East Stage with a set that leaned into a more mellow energy as the summer sun began to set. While there were many through-lines between the co-headliners the two acts both delivered distinct offerings. While Tems had channelled more uplifting energy, Smith kept her themes mostly grounded in emotional explorations. Her setlist spanned across her discography, focusing heavily on "Lost & Found" but also including newer releases. Smith made her dazzling vocals sound effortless as she graced her way through a medley of genres that showed her prowess as both a performer and as a songwriter. The performance felt special, especially as Smith was joined by some of the biggest names in UK R&B, rap and dance. Nia Archives accompanied for an energetic rendition of "Get Me Down". While AJ Tracey delivered vocals on "Crush" and the iconic "Ladbroke Grove". A brief video of Smith performing the song "Katy On a Mission" when she was at school became a touching full-circle moment as Katy B emerged to perform the song with her. This star-studded lineup all built to East London legend Loyle Carner performing "Loose Ends" with Smith. The entire set felt like a victory lap for Smith, as she got to realise her artistic vision to tens of thousands and to perform with her heroes and peers.

Once again, All Points East has reestablished itself as one of the premier events in the world's music calendar, by creating a day that is a paradise for music lovers and which year after year creates countless memories and which allows thousands to see their favourite artists and discover new ones under London's summer skies.
