Daytime TV bring new music to the iconic festival

Rockers Daytime TV have been moving at a breakneck pace. Since signing with Marshall Records, the band has been steadily building momentum through electrifying live shows and teases of new music.

Their latest showcase delighted attendees at London’s South By Southwest (SXSW) at the British Music Embassy. The high walls of the venue seemed ready-made for hosting live music, adding a gritty tone to the sound that only elevated the band's rock sensibilities.

With a set list that covered the band's varied discography, songs like “Lost in Tokyo” sounded massive, leaning into a muscular edge that evoked a sense of raw energy.

New songs “Pause” and “Sun” point to a new sonic direction that has inspired the band, with spritely guitars texturing melodies on top of powerful bass and tight drums.

By the end of their set, the band had filled out the venue to the point that fans dotted out past the stage. Across them all could be seen a deep appreciation of the musical talent on display, and in it all was the sense that Daytime TV are at the beginning of something big.
