"Bowie Nights" aim to immerse fans in the world of David Bowie

Summer series of “Bowie Nights” announced to accompany exciting new immersive experience "David Bowie: You’reNot Alone"


This summer, David Bowie fans will be invited to celebrate his world as they explore  “Bowie Nights”, a newly announced series of events designed to complement the landmark immersive experience "David Bowie: You’re Not Alone" which will be held from April 22nd at Lightroom in Kings Cross, London.


Lightroom CEO Richard Slaney said: “David Bowie: You're Not Alone' invites audiences at Lightroom to experience the imagination and creativity of David Bowie. It vividly depicts how he played with, and drew upon all forms of culture in his music and performance; so, it's a natural extension to explore his impact through this fantastic series of events, featuring both artists who worked with him and those who continue to be inspired by his legacy.”

The showcase will feature:

  • An exclusive event with Anna Calvi and legendary Bowie collaborator Carlos Alomar. Together, they will appear for  “in conversation, with guitars”. This will deliver an intimate format in which the pair will unpack Bowie’s songs live on stage through in-depth discussion and musical exploration.

  • Comedian and broadcaster Adam Buxton will present a special edition of BUG for a Bowie Special, where large-scale projections will explore the artistry of Bowie’s groundbreaking music videos and visual legacy.

  • A photography panel hosted by Miranda Sawyer will examine iconic images from Bowie’s career.

  • An intriguing talk by acclaimed Bowie designer Jonathan Barnbrook will offer insight into the graphic design inspirations behind the classic albums.

  • Additionally, the first announced musical performance in the series is a unique recital by celebrated composer and cellist Peter Gregson. Which will no doubt pay respect to Bowie's iconic catalogue.


“Bowie Nights” expands on the artistry behind "David Bowie: You’re Not Alone", giving fans the chance to engage with Bowie’s artistry from fresh new perspectives.
